LECOM Health Corry Memorial Hospital has been awarded the 2024 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in Patient Perspective. This recognition comes from The Chartis Center for Rural Health, which acknowledges rural hospitals performing in the top quartile in areas such as Quality, Outcomes, and Patient Perspective.
Dan Grolemund, Administrator at Corry Memorial Hospital, expressed his pride in the hospital's staff, stating, “Caring for our patients is chief among our priorities, so I am overwhelmed with pride for our staff at Corry Memorial Hospital in helping us achieve this distinct honor.” He noted that their hospital is one of only three rural hospitals in Pennsylvania recognized for Patient Perspective and one of 16 recognized across three categories.
The awards are based on data from the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX. This framework assesses rural hospital performance across various operational and financial metrics. Troy Brown from The Chartis Center for Rural Health commented on the significance of these awards: “The Performance Leadership Awards capture the commitment, diligence, and innovation with which America’s rural hospitals approach the delivery of care within their communities.”
