LECOM Health has announced the rebranding of its local hospital to LECOM Medical Center and Behavioral Health Pavilion. This change was revealed during a ceremony at the Atrium at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Previously known as Millcreek Community Hospital, the facility will now include a 34,000-square-foot addition. This expansion features a new emergency department and intensive care unit, with rooms specifically for behavioral health emergencies.
The rebranding reflects LECOM Health's commitment to adapting to the healthcare needs of the community. The hospital's history includes growth from a one-story building to its current state-of-the-art facilities. The announcement coincides with LECOM Health's 10-year anniversary celebration.
Danielle Hansen, D.O., Regional President of LECOM Health, stated, “We’re committed to fostering an environment of innovation, compassion and growth as we look to the future.” She added that the new facility is "the launch pad to the next generation of our ongoing commitment to excellent care for those we serve."
Further information about new additions and the official opening will be provided in upcoming weeks. More details about LECOM Health can be found on their website.
