LECOM Health has announced the opening of its new Adult Day Center at LECOM at Village Square in Erie, Pennsylvania. The facility aims to provide respite care and support for older adults. The center's unveiling occurred during a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and it is now open to new clients.

The Adult Day Center will be available from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering a safe environment with nutritious meals, activities, and medical services for older adults. James Lin, D.O., President of the LECOM Institute for Successful Living, stated: “Our Adult Day Center will provide support to families and caregivers by offering peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are in a safe, caring environment.” He added that the center aims to enhance the lives of older adults through various programs designed to improve wellbeing.

Families interested in enrolling can contact the center by phone or visit their website. Clients must complete an assessment for admission as drop-ins are not accepted.

This initiative is part of LECOM Health’s mission to improve seniors' quality of life in Erie by integrating healthcare services with compassionate care.

LECOM Health is recognized as an innovative healthcare and education system and includes several facilities across different states. At its core is the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), which has trained nearly 18,000 healthcare professionals since 1993.
