The Philadelphia 76ers fell to the Dallas Mavericks by a score of 107-98 in NBA action. There were a variety of distractions for the teams during the game.

The game was delayed due to a misaligned basket. This delay took 40 minutes, creating quite a disruption in the game. Mavericks Coach Jason Kidd had praise for his team after the game.

“You know, we sometimes are measured by wins and losses, but the bigger picture is he's(Luka Doncic) been under control," Kidd said.

Reggie Bullock scored 20 points for Dallas in the game. Bullock is also shooting 40% for the year with the Mavericks. Other key stats for Bullock, an NBA veteran who has played for six teams during his career, are that he is averaging 7 points and 3 rebounds a game, according to NBA.com. His 20 points in this game was an unusual explosion of offense for him.

Meanwhile, the arguably bigger story from the game is the 40-minute delay. This was prompted by Mavericks star Luka Doncic, who complained that his team's rim was crooked, according to a report from WFAA 8. Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic, who is 7'4, attempted to adjust the rim himself but this did not solve the problem.

A maintenance team then came out to attempt to fix the rim before determining that the entire basket and backboard needed to be replaced for the game to continue to its conclusion, according to a report from WFAA 8. The Mavericks had the appropriate supplies on hand and the players warmed up for five minutes before continuing normally with the game. During the delay, the official Mavericks and 76ers Twitter accounts played tic tac to on Twitter against each other.

Doncic again complained about the delay in an interview with ESPN after the game.
