After hosting several successful Hard-to-Read License Plate events, Rep. Jake Banta (R-Erie) is collaborating with the Edinboro Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police to assist constituents with illegible license plates.

The event will take place on Monday, July 29, from 4-6 p.m. at the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department, located at 125 Meadville St in Edinboro.

“I am excited for the opportunity to help area residents,” said Banta. “A license plate is deemed illegible when one or more numbers or letters cannot be recognized from 50 feet away. If your license plate is blistered, peeling, damaged, discolored or lost its reflectivity, this opportunity will help you get a brand-new plate at no cost to you.”

Drivers are required to bring their unexpired Pennsylvania driver’s license and current vehicle registration card.
