The Senate Majority Policy Committee will hold a public hearing on criminal trends and solutions in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, June 11, at 10 a.m. in Hearing Room 1 of the Pennsylvania State Capitol’s North Office Building, according to Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49), chair of the committee.

The committee aims to examine crime trends across Pennsylvania to gain a comprehensive understanding of the factors driving these trends and their impact on communities. Experts will provide insights into issues such as law enforcement workforce limitations, mental and behavioral health challenges within the judicial system, and organized retail theft. The committee will explore potential solutions to enhance community safety.

The hearing will be livestreamed for public access.
