Behrend basketball teams travel to Ohio and Tennessee

Penn State Behrend’s basketball teams stayed active over the semester break. The men’s team competed in the Smokey Ballenger Classic, at Otterbein University in Ohio. The women’s team traveled to Tennessee for the Music City Classic, at Welch College.

The teams open Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference play on Jan. 4 in Junker Center.

Here are the highlights from last week:

Men’s basketball

Penn State Behrend 72, Alma 49

Manchester 77, Penn State Behrend 73

Stefan Milinkovic, a junior from Fairport, New York, scored 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Manchester. RJ Marsh, a senior from State College, added 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Women’s basketball

Webster 86, Penn State Behrend 75

Penn State Behrend 71, Saint Mary’s 65

Penn State Behrend 72, Bethany 68

Morgan Altavilla, a freshman from Pittsburgh, and Rachel Majewski, a sophomore from Erie, each scored 22 points against Saint Mary’s. Madilyn Boyer, a freshman from Saxonburg, scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds against Webster.
