Gov. Tom Wolf (D-PA) recently revealed nearly $8 million in funds through the Keystone Communities Program.

The grants will benefit 51 community improvement projects in 30 counties across Pennsylvania, according to a news release from the governor's office.

"The funding provided through the Keystone Communities Program supports towns and cities with initiatives that work to create growth and stability in their neighborhoods while encouraging partnerships between the public and private sectors," Wolf said in the news release. "These projects will build stronger communities, attract new residents and businesses, and boost the commonwealth's economy."

The Keystone Communities Program is administered through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), the news release noted. $38 million was approved for 247 projects statewide during Wolf's tenure since January 2015. The grants help fund projects related to accessible housing, public infrastructure improvements, and "other projects to strengthen communities and downtown districts."

The Greater Titusville Development Foundation in Crawford County will receive $25,000 for the Downtown Titusville Façade Improvement Program, according to the news release. The program works to improve existing façades in the downtown business district.

The Erie Center for Arts and Technology in Erie County will receive $24,250 for the development of a neighborhood improvement plan for the East Avenue Commercial Corridor, the news release noted. The North East Borough will receive $300,000 for the New Dawn streetscape project.
