Penn State Behrend’s cross country teams won the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships at Mt. Aloysius on Oct. 29. Kody Klein, a sophomore from North East, won the men’s individual title. Savanna Carr, a senior from Franklin, won the women’s championship.
Behrend’s soccer, swimming and diving, volleyball and bowling teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:
Men’s cross country
First (of six teams) at the AMCC championships
Klein finished in 27:14.5, nearly 10 seconds ahead of the next runner. Nick Temel, a senior from Conneaut Lake, placed third, finishing 28:35.9.
Women’s cross country
Carr finished in 24:06.4. Olivia Nola, a sophomore from Erie, was second, with a time of 24:35.1.
Men’s soccer
Penn State Behrend 4, Pitt-Bradford 0
Johnathan Swann, a sophomore from Allison Park, scored two goals against Pitt-Bradford. Justin Hockenberger, a senior from Spencerport, New York, added two more, and an assist.
Women’s soccer
Penn State Behrend 6, Pitt-Bradford 1
Trinity Prestash, a sophomore from Phillipsburg, scored three goals against Pitt-Bradford, earning her second hat trick of the season.
Women’s volleyball
Penn State Behrend 3, Mt. Aloysius 0
Penn State Behrend 3, Pitt-Bradford 1
Hannah Phillips, a junior from Pittsburgh, led the Lions against Pitt-Bradford with 17 kills and 11 digs. Meg Goodsel, a junior from Corry, had 34 assists, seven digs and four kills against Mt. Aloysius.

Jacob Eshelman, a senior from Franklin, won the 200 breaststroke against Alfred State, finishing in 2:19.17. He won the 1000 free against Chatham, finishing in 10:38.78.

Isabel Sheridan, a freshman from Allentown, won the 200 IM against Chatham, finishing in 2:26.17. She also won the 100 backstroke, finishing in 1:05.70.
