Biomechanics students collaborated with Maker Space to drop 3-D printed egg-saving apparatuses out of Dr. Iwanenko's window.
Students in Dr. Elizabeth Starns’ SPRT 424 Biomechanics course collaborated with the I-HACK Maker Space staff to drop custom-designed 3-D printed egg-saving apparatuses out of Dr. Walter Iwanenko’s Old Main conference room window to the sixth-street sidewalk below.
If, after launching out of the second floor, the eggs remained intact, teams were asked to prove their uncracked eggs were not hard-boiled or altered in any way before being declared victorious. Students also shared their explanations of how their egg drop activity related to biomedical concepts and injury.
