The Penn State Behrend women’s soccer team shut out Penn State Altoona, 5-0, on Oct. 15. Trinity Prestash, a sophomore from Philipsburg, scored three of the five goals.
Behrend’s volleyball, tennis, golf, cross-country and water polo teams also were in action last week. Here are the scores and highlights:
Men’s soccer

The Lions scored three goals in the first nine minutes against Penn State Altoona. John Ziobro, a junior from Westtown, New York, scored the first, off a deflection, at 5:18. He also scored the fourth goal.
Women’s soccer

Penn State Behrend 4, Alfred State 0
The Lions outshot Altoona, 17-8, earning a third consecutive shutout victory. The team travels to Hilbert on Oct. 19.

Brooke Joncas, a senior from Corry, had 21 kills against Penn State Altoona. Hannah Phillips, a junior from Pittsburgh, added 18 kills and 16 digs. Meg Goodsel, a junior from Corry, had a career-high 57 assists.
Women’s tennis
Pitt-Greensburg 5, Penn State Behrend 0 (AMCC championship)
Penn State Behrend 5, Penn State Altoona 1 (AMCC semifinals)
Erica Jasinski, a senior from Fairview, and Rachel Weber, a senior from Allison Park, were named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive year.
Men’s golf
Fourth (of seven teams) at the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference championships
Jake Caldwell, a junior from Belle Vernon, led the Lions with a two-day score of 179. He tied for seventh in a field of 34 golfers.
Men’s cross-country
Twenty-sixth (of 32 teams) at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio
Kody Klein, a sophomore from North East, paced the Lions, finishing the 8K race in 26:44.9. He placed 86th in a field of 300 runners.
Women’s cross-country
Eighteenth (of 32 teams) at the Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio
Olivia Nola, a sophomore from Erie, led the Lions, finishing the 6K race in 23:20.1. She placed 35th in a field of 284 runners.
Men’s water polo
