TOMORROW, Cathedral Prep boys soccer and McDowell team up to host the annual "Kickin' It For Cancer" game at Gus Anderson Field. JVs begin at 6:00 p.m., with the Varsity to follow. This year, the game is celebrating and honoring Ryan Switkowski. To learn more about Ryan's story, please read below. We look forward to seeing everyone at Gus Anderson Field TOMORROW to support Ryan and the Ramblers!
Ryan’s story from his mother:
“Ryan was diagnosed with stage-4 neuroblastoma on July 13, 2022. He has since gone through many chemo treatments, a 12-13-hour surgery to remove his primary tumor, two stem cell transplants with his dose chemo, and now he is going into his sixth round of chemo with immunotherapy. He is a happy, energetic kiddo, who is excited about going to kindergarten. Ryan loves making YouTube videos with his older brothers, Logan and Ethan. He loves playing outside and digging in the dirt. He is a sweetheart and loves to try and make people laugh. When going on walks, Ryan will always stop to smell the flowers and pick some for everyone. Ryan will still need to undergo radiation and will have scans following his fifth round of chemo/immunotherapy.”
