PERC Virtual Education Job Fair
March 23, 2022
12:00 PM - 05:00 PM VirtualIn This Section
Join us for one of the largest education job fairs in the country! The PERC Education Job Fair is a well-respected regional and national recruitment event that attracts about 200 employers from across the U.S. and several international organizations each year. Participating employers meet and hire teacher candidates in all Pre K-12 disciplines, as well as related professional certification areas such as school counseling, school social work, speech language pathology, OT, PT, and nursing.
We are excited to partner with Handshake to host this year’s fair virtually! This virtual format will enhance the experience, allowing you to:
- Meet with employers. Interact with recruiters through video, audio, or chat.
- Never wait in line, ever. Pre-schedule 1:1 or group sessions with employers ahead of the fair or on the day-of.
- Make an impression. Bring your unique perspective to the table, ask great questions, and follow up with recruiters after the fair.
- Activate your Handshake account and fill in your profile (like a virtual resume)- these steps can be completed prior to registration opening on March 5th
To attend PERC, you must have an education degree and/or certification, be a candidate for an OT/PT/SLP degree, or a school counseling, school social work, school psychology, school nurse or other school-based professional degree. You must also be eligible to work at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.
What is PERC?
The Pittsburgh Education Recruitment Consortium (PERC), is a consortium of 30 colleges and universities in western Pennsylvania, Ohio and northern West Virginia. Annually, approximately 1000 candidates from the consortium (and several non-consortium institutions) attend the PERC Education Job Fair. Participating employers interview and hire teacher candidates in all Pre K-12 disciplines, as well as related professional certification areas such as school counseling, school social work, speech language pathology, OT, PT, and nursing.
