Cathedral Preparatory School issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
Interim President Dave Slomski ‘72 is pleased to announce that Christine Eddy has been hired as the new VP of Development and External Relations for Cathedral Preparatory School, Villa Maria Academy, and Mother Teresa Academy.
Christine will begin this new position after already having worked in the Advancement Office for 10 years (2004-2014). During her time, she held numerous roles inside the department, Director of Communications, Director of the Annual Fund, and Advancement Services Manager. In these various roles, she published the Magazine for Cathedral Prep and Villa Maria Academy’s Essence, managed our school’s website and social media pages, organized, and solicited for the annual fund and managed the constituent database.
Interim President Slomski notes, “We are thrilled to have Christine back in the Advancement Office. She rejoins the team with a wealth of institutional knowledge and a proven track record of success and achievement in fundraising and donor engagement.”
Prior to re-joining Prep-Villa, Christine has spent the last seven years as the Director of Development at the Erie Art Museum. She oversaw all fundraising efforts for the museum, including: the annual fund, corporate giving, EITC, major giving and planned gifts. During her time there, she helped to triple the annual fund and instituted the museum’s largest fundraising event, ARTrageous.
Christine brings 17 years of fundraising experience and a magnetic personality to this position. She is grateful and enthusiastic to return to the place she called her second home for 10 years. Christine is also a very proud Prep mom. Her son Nicholas recently graduated in 2020.
Christine will start on October 4th.
We would like to thank Elizabeth Fehr for her work leading the Advancement Office during this transition. We look forward to her continued contributions as part of our Advancement Team.
Welcome back Christine Eddy!
