Gannon graduate Sean Colosimo (Wexford, Pa./Pine-Richland) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court released Tuesday morning.
The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts of student-athletes off the court, and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet a high standard of academic criteria. In addition to being a junior or senior varsity student-athlete with at least one year of residency at their current school, he must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2015-16 academic year.
Colosimo earns a spot on the NABC Honors Court after boasting a 3.286 cumulative grade point average while majoring in Sport & Exercise Science, Pre-Physical Therapy. He was named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete and received the D2 ADA Achievement Award.
As the team captain during the 2020-21 season, Colosimo competed in 12 games. His career statistics include 39 games played, with a field goal percentage of .348 and 15 total steals.
The Wexford, PA native plans to return to Gannon in the Fall of 2021 to complete his graduate degree.
