Harbor Creek Senior High School issued the following announcement on Dec. 18.
We felt it important to notify our community that the Harbor Creek School District was notified today that a student at the Jr. High is a positive case of COVID-19. The student was last at school within 48 hours of symptom onset. There were no close contacts identified. The student has been in isolation and will follow isolation guidelines per the Erie County Department of Health.
There are now three active cases at the Jr. High As per the mandates of the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Jr. High will close on Monday, December 21st and Tuesday, December 22nd and all students will move to remote learning. The District’s hybrid model will resume on January 4th after the holiday. The decision to move to remote learning for these two days will provide the District the opportunity to clean, contract trace, and complete case investigation.
