Studentcovid

Harbor Creek Senior High School issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.

Good afternoon. We felt it important to notify our community that the Harbor Creek School District was notified today, October 28th, that a student at Rolling Ridge is a probable case of COVID-19. A probable case by definition is someone that is either a household contact or close contact to a known positive case and develops symptoms. The Harbor Creek School District has communicated with the Erie County Department of Health and have followed the health and safety plan in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The student was last on site on Tuesday, October 27th, with close contacts being identified at school. The student is now in isolation and will follow isolation guidelines per the Erie County Department of Health.

The Harbor Creek School District has mitigation efforts in place that includes proactively cleaning and disinfecting our school buildings. All areas previously used by the student have been thoroughly disinfected and fogged per our COVID-19 cleaning procedures. The health and safety of our faculty, staff, students, and families remains our number one priority. The Erie County Department of Health will speak with the parent/guardian of the student to conduct any further interviews required for community contact tracing and notify any individuals who may be required to self-quarantine.
