BOROUGH OF EDINBORO: Reminding Drivers Of The Laws Pertaining To "Meeting or Overtaking A School Bus

Schoolbus

Borough of Edinboro issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.

The Edinboro Borough Police Department would like to remind drivers of the laws pertaining to "Meeting or Overtaking a School Bus." It is a very different type of year for everyone, particularly our local schools. School buses are running different schedules, picking up and dropping off kids all day long. We are experiencing a large amount of violations related to "Meeting or Overtaking a School Bus."

For the safety of the kids, please slow down and be prepared to stop when you see the amber lights of a school bus. The red signal lights and the side "stop" signal arms will be activated shortly after and kids will be departing or getting on the bus. Please do not attempt to speed up when seeing the amber lights. School buses are equipped with cameras and your actions will be recorded.
