Erie County Times

About 44.9 percent of the 1,016 degrees and certificates handed out by Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Erie-Behrend College in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Erie conferred 271 bachelor's degrees and 115 certificates in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in e-commerce/electronic commerce. Data shows the school gave out 92 certificates in e-commerce/electronic commerce, followed by 85 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering and 65 bachelor's degrees in "other" management sciences and quantitative methods.

The university enrolled 4,312 students for 2017-18, including 4,152 in undergraduate programs and 160 in graduate programs.
