81 percent of applicants to Gannon University were admitted for fall 2018

At Gannon University, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Erie enrolled 4,291 students in fall 2018, including 3,291 in undergraduate and 1,000 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

66 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 27 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (5 percent).

The school admitted 81 percent of the 5,124 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 19 percent enrolled.
