Senator Dan Laughlin, a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, recently used his social media platform to highlight local events and community initiatives.
On August 26, 2025, Senator Laughlin posted about a job fair organized by the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections at SCI Albion. He wrote, “The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is hosting a Job Fair at SCI Albion TODAY, August 26, from 12–6 PM. This is a great chance to apply and interview for positions including: Corrections Officer Trainee Registered Nurse Food Service Instructor”.
Later that day, in recognition of National Dog Day, Senator Laughlin shared a personal message and photo. On August 26, he stated, “It’s National Dog Day, so here’s a picture of my best friend, Pappy. He’s always up for a walk, a ride in the truck out to camp, or just some quality couch time. If you’ve got a dog, give ’em an extra treat today. They sure earn it.”
On August 27, Senator Laughlin addressed community safety measures following an incident at Polish Falcons Nest 610. He posted, “After a recent scare at Polish Falcons Nest 610, a board member contacted my office about getting an AED. Thanks to Hamot Health Foundation & UPMC Emergency Preparedness, the club now has one in place. Grateful for partners who step up to keep our community safe!”
Senator Laughlin represents parts of northwestern Pennsylvania in the state legislature and frequently shares updates on local opportunities and public safety efforts.
