Rep. Mike Kelly, who represents Pennsylvania’s 16th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing tax season support, tax policy, and concerns about foreign influence on nonprofit laws.

On February 9, 2026, Kelly informed constituents that his offices are prepared to assist with tax filing needs. He wrote, “As the tax filing season begins, our staff members in Butler, Erie, and Hermitage are here to help you! If you need assistance, or if you are seeking particular tax forms, we encourage you to call ahead so we can fulfill your requests as quickly and easily as possible.”

The following day, February 10, Kelly highlighted the benefits of new tax legislation for working families. In a post he stated: “The Working Families Tax Cuts will allow YOU to keep more of YOUR hard-earned money. I joined @21WFMJ to discuss what this means for folks in the Shenango Valley and across Western Pennsylvania.”

Later on February 10, Kelly addressed issues related to foreign actors exploiting U.S. nonprofit regulations: “Foreign billionaires and entities shouldn’t be cheating our Nation’s tax-exempt and nonprofit laws while ripping off American taxpayers in the process. Transparency and accountability matter. More from today’s @WaysandMeansGOP hearing “

Mike Kelly has served in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Kathy Dahlkemper. He was born in Pittsburgh in 1948 and currently resides in Butler. Kelly is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame (BA ’70).
