Rep. Mike Kelly, who represents Pennsylvania’s 16th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on social media addressing tax relief for seniors, advocacy for a local constituent, and election integrity measures.

On February 11, 2026, Kelly highlighted upcoming changes to tax policy affecting seniors: “The Working Families Tax Cuts will provide a big boost to Pennsylvania seniors this tax season! By raising the standard deduction, 88% of all seniors who receive Social Security will pay no tax on their Social Security benefits, according to analysis from the Council of Economic”.

Later that day, he marked the anniversary of Marc Fogel’s release from Russian detention: “Today marks one year since Butler County native Marc Fogel was released from Russia after he was wrongfully imprisoned for more than three and a half years. Throughout this time, I met with the Fogel family and joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers to advocate for Marc’s”.

In another post on February 11, Kelly addressed proposed election reforms: “The SAVE America Act ensures only American citizens are allowed to vote in American elections. The legislation also includes critical voter ID requirements that will strengthen our elections across the board. Free and fair elections are a cornerstone of our democracy.”

Mike Kelly has represented Pennsylvania’s 16th District since 2011, succeeding Kathy Dahlkemper. He was born in Pittsburgh in 1948 and currently resides in Butler. Kelly graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970.
