Rep. Mike Kelly, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 16th district since 2011, recently highlighted tax relief measures and community engagement efforts in a series of posts on his social media account.

On April 8, 2026, Kelly stated, “The Working Families Tax Cuts law is reducing taxes for nearly 12 million small business owners by an average of $7,000. It’s a game changer for Pennsylvania small businesses https://t.co/LLXWVnBWc0”. Later that day, he shared details from a campus visit: “It was great to visit @GannonU today! Thank you to President Iwanenko for hosting us. We also had the chance to meet in person with Gannon Men’s Basketball Head Coach Easton Bazzoli to congratulate him and the team on winning the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball National https://t.co/4ZFqagEV2c”.

On April 9, Kelly commented on recent tax developments: ‘”The Republican tax and spending cuts bill passed last summer has also resulted in bigger tax refunds this season for Americans. The IRS said the average refund is up by more than 10% as of late March.” Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts led by @HouseGOP and President’.

Mike Kelly has served as a congressional representative since defeating Kathy Dahlkemper in 2011. Born in Pittsburgh in 1948 and currently residing in Butler, Kelly holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame (Fact sources: [1](#), [2](#), [3](#), [4](#)).
