Rep. Mike Kelly, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 16th district since 2011, shared a series of tweets recently covering topics ranging from economic achievements to historical commemorations and educational initiatives.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Kelly tweeted about a significant achievement for the steel industry and employment in his state. He stated, “Securing American steel and American jobs. A win for Pennsylvania and for the United States.”
Two days later, on June 6, 2025, he reflected on a pivotal moment in history by commemorating the anniversary of D-Day. In his tweet, he remarked on the significance of this event: “Eighty-one years ago today, the Allied forces stormed Normandy’s Beaches to fight for the free world, defend liberty, and end tyranny in Europe. May we always remember that freedom is not free. God Bless America!”
On the same day, Rep. Kelly announced an educational initiative aimed at engaging young minds in technology through a competitive platform. He wrote about launching the Congressional App Challenge for students in his district: “This week, my office opened our annual Congressional App Challenge competition for PA-16 students! @CongressionalAC”
Mike Kelly was born in Pittsburgh in 1948 and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1970. Now residing in Butler at age 74, he continues to serve his constituents with dedication.
