LECOM Health held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Colonial Family Pharmacy in Albion, Pennsylvania. The pharmacy will be located at 210 E. State St., Suite 2A, adjacent to LECOM Health’s Northwestern Area Health Center. The construction of the 3,400-square-foot building cost nearly $2 million.
James Lin, D.O., President of LECOM Institute for Successful Living, stated, “This pharmacy is part of our broader rural health initiative – an effort to ensure that high-quality, accessible care is available in every corner of our region.”
The Albion pharmacy will join existing locations in Erie at 3822 Colonial Ave. and 5702 Peach St., offering convenient access to medications and support services under the LECOM Medical Center umbrella with 340b pricing.
Danielle Hansen, D.O., Regional President of LECOM Health, commented on the strategic location next to their primary care clinic in Albion. She noted that this expansion is about more than physical infrastructure; it enhances their ability to impact lives significantly.
The new facility will offer various services including immunizations, medication monitoring, delivery and curbside service, medication counseling, over-the-counter products, and prescription filling.
