More than $4.2 million in state grants have been allocated for infrastructure projects across Erie County, according to an announcement by Senator Dan Laughlin. The funding comes from the Pennsylvania Small Water & Sewer Program (SWS) and the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF), with $2,059,362 awarded through SWS and $2,150,000 from MTF.
“These investments are essential to ensuring safe, reliable infrastructure for our communities,” said Senator Laughlin. “From clean drinking water to safer roads and pedestrian access, these projects will strengthen Erie County and position us for future growth.”
Combined, the two programs will provide $4,209,362 in state support for local municipalities to upgrade water and sewer systems and improve transportation connections.
“I work tirelessly in Harrisburg to advocate for projects like these and others that make our region safer, more accessible, and better prepared for the future,” Laughlin said.
