About 25.5 percent of the 737 degrees and certificates handed out by Mercyhurst University in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency’s National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Erie conferred 143 bachelor’s degrees and 42 master’s degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor’s degree in general intelligence. Data shows the school gave out 69 bachelor’s degrees in general intelligence, followed by 42 master’s degrees in organizational leadership and 34 master’s degrees in general intelligence.

The university enrolled 2,685 students for 2017-18, including 2,381 in undergraduate programs and 304 in graduate programs.
