About 19.1 percent of the 1,480 degrees and certificates handed out by Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2017-18 were to students in education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency’s National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Edinboro conferred 167 master’s degrees and 68 bachelor’s degrees in education programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master’s degree in social work. Data shows the school gave out 202 master’s degrees in social work, followed by 103 bachelor’s degrees in general fine/studio arts and 75 bachelor’s degrees in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 4,834 students for 2017-18, including 3,572 in undergraduate programs and 1,262 in graduate programs.
