FOIA Request to Dekalb County Regarding Vendor Payments on September 26, 2024. As part of our ongoing commitment to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at DeKalb Times have sent a request under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140.

Our request is specifically for a list of all payments made to vendors from January 1, 2024, till September 26, 2024. The information we are seeking includes the vendor name, transaction date, transaction description, and the amount paid.

As a media organization dedicated to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public, access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. We believe that as media professionals engaged in disseminating information to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver.

We will continue our efforts in reporting news that matters and bringing transparency into local government affairs. We look forward to receiving this information from Dekalb County so that we can continue our mission of providing comprehensive news coverage.
