Cheapest midgrade gas in cities across Erie County in week ending June 1

There were two gas stations in cities across Erie County selling midgrade gas at the lowest price of $4.09 per gallon in the week ending June 1, according to GasBuddy.com.

The average cost of midgrade gas in cities within Erie County was $4.18 per gallon.

Of the 23 gas stations in cities within Erie County, nine offer midgrade gas.

The average price of midgrade gas in Pennsylvania was $4.10, compared to $4.13 the week before.

Experts predict gasoline prices could drop below $3 this year before rebounding closer to $4 by year’s end. GasBuddy forecasted a national average of $3.38 per gallon, down from $3.51. An outlook published in late 2023 suggests that gas rates will continue to fall in 2024.

Gas data refers to the price of gas when paid for by cash, not credit. Gas stations can charge drivers more for using credit cards due to surcharge fees. This is prohibited in 10 U.S. states.
