HARRISBURG – The Senate Majority Policy Committee is set to hold a public hearing on innovation and emerging technology in Pennsylvania on Thursday, April 11, as announced by Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49), chair of the committee. The event will take place at the Montgomery County Community College (Pottstown Campus), Room 202, North Hall Building, Pottstown, PA19464.

According to Sen. Dan Laughlin, "The committee will hear from various technology experts and industry leaders regarding the significant innovation assets opportunity in Pennsylvania and examine how innovation industries are vitally important to regional and statewide economies."

The committee aims to explore the crucial role that innovative industries play in Pennsylvania's economy. A similar hearing held in Pittsburgh last September highlighted the substantial contributions of innovative life science and technological companies to the state's economic landscape.

During the previous hearing, suggestions were made regarding support for the growth of these companies. As stated, "Last September, the testimony suggested public funding and lower taxes as ways to support the continued growth of these companies."

For those interested in attending the upcoming hearing, parking will be available in Lot 2, accessed via College Drive. Additionally, the April 11 hearing will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend in person.
