Sen. Laughlin to Update Local Leaders About Recent Human Trafficking Hearing

Sen. Dan Laughlin (R-49), chair of the Senate Majority Policy Committee, will be meeting with local Erie leaders and stakeholders to discuss the recent public hearing on human trafficking. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Crime Victim Center in Erie, PA.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update on the Jan. 11 hearing and to discuss how the Erie community can work together to combat human trafficking. Approximately 20 local leaders are expected to participate in the event.

Sen. Laughlin is committed to addressing the issue of human trafficking and believes that collaboration between local leaders and stakeholders is crucial in the fight against this heinous crime. In a statement, Sen. Laughlin emphasized the importance of working together, saying, "We must join forces and take a stand against human trafficking. It is only through a collective effort that we can effectively combat this grave injustice."

The public hearing held on Jan. 11 shed light on the extent of the human trafficking problem in Pennsylvania and explored potential solutions to address this issue. Sen. Laughlin, as the chair of the committee, played a key role in organizing the hearing and ensuring that the voices of survivors and experts were heard.
